S.F. French is a family run business offering outstanding customer service and specialising in CCTV, access control, lighting, air conditioning, security lighting and electric heating.
Based in Bridgwater, Somerset, S.F. French was formed in 1984 with Steve French being the sole trader working from a home base. Throughout the mid to late eighties, Steve French would undertake mainly domestic works such as rewiring and extensions. With the property boom of the early nineties, this brought an upturn in the companies fortunes. In 1990, the first employee was used to aid Steve in his growing work base.
Now, taking on various domestic and new build works, the business was growing from strength to strength. As the nineties continued, so the workforce grew along with the client base. Not just being based in the domestic fields, S.F. French were now venturing into the commercial and industrial sectors. By the late nineties, the workforce had expanded to 6 employees undertaking local and national contracts. By now, S.F. French had begun working with local social housing companies such as SHAL Ltd and Magna West Somerset. After the turn of the millenium, the workforce again expanded to 10 employees and a fleet of 5 vehicles.
The workload in the office had increased so much that Steve had to draft his son, Darren French, into the office to take up the role of contracts manager to oversee all the work in progress. With the addition of Steves wife, Gillian, as company secretary, the office now runs with 3 employees. In 2008, S.F. French Electrical Contractors ceased trading as a sole trader and S.F. French Electrical Contractors Ltd were formed with Steve French as the managing director.
S.F. French Electrical Contractors Ltd continues to grow from strength to strength and still maintain a professional and courteous installation for any of your electrical requirements.
